Our implant Team

We have a dedicated team of implant trained clinicians. Our lead implant surgeon is Dr Mark Pugson who brings a wealth of skill, experience and expertise to our rapidly evolving world of implant and restorative dentistry. Mark has dedicated time to gaining several post-graduate qualifications in advanced restorative and implant dentistry. He works alongside our clinical team to provide high end cosmetic treatments to full mouth rehabilitation for patients who have lost or damaged their teeth through trauma, decay or gum disease. Mark is committed to ongoing education to ensure that he remains at the forefront of the ever developing field of implant and restorative dentistry and regularly attends courses to stay up to date with cutting edge techniques and technology. Mark also shares his knowledge and experience with the dental community by mentoring dental post-graduate students undergoing the Masters program at the University of Manchester, as well as dentists in practice who need one-to-one support. 

 

Our two implant trained nurses are Lily and Kelly who have undergone further training in implant dentistry. 

Together, they have assisted in hundreds of implant surgeries. During an implant you will always see at least two nurses. One nurse will work under sterile conditions with the surgeon while the other nurse will assist and prepare materials and equipment.

 

Lily is also our trained treatment coordinator and will be the first point of contact during your implant journey with the practice. She has vast experience within implant dentistry and will both guide you through the process and answer questions you may have about the treatment.
